Aloha!  I’ve been bartending and managing for 19 years and have been blessed to travel to 48 countries. Along with collecting bar stories from all over the world, I’ve been honing my craft to be a leader in the field at all levels of hospitality in an international capacity. After 7 years abroad I returned to hawaii 2 years ago because, out of anywhere in the world, Hawai’i is where I feel most at home. There’s something about the culture of this scenic paradise that puts you at ease and creates an immediate kinship to its location and people. It reminded me of growing up in my own tropical island of Puerto Rico. That feeling is what I want to embody for my guests. Vacation isn’t just a location, but a state of mind. I look forward to helping you craft the event of a lifetime that you’ll never forget and always want to come back to. 

Aloha! I’m a local girl that was born and raised on the island of Oahu. I’ve never left, I’ve always called Hawaii, the “Paradise of the world” my home. I’ve been bartending for over 20+ years. I’ve worked in all aspects and styles of bartending. Whether it be a Sports bar, high end swanky bar, high volume night club, or private vip events in a hotel or catered outside at a private destination. Bartending is more than just a job for me, it’s a passion. I love the art of crafting cocktails, the creativity involved in balancing flavors, and the satisfaction of watching someone enjoy a drink I made personally for them upon certain requests on the fly. Behind the bar, I get to connect with people, share stories, and be part of their special moments. It’s a dynamic environment that keeps me on my toes, and I thrive on the energy, artistry, and sense of community/ ohana it brings. Because here in Hawaii, you’re not just another patron to serve, when you’re here, you’re family, as we call Ohana. Makena Harootian is a passionate, ambitious, and reliable service industry professional with deep roots in Kaneohe, Oahu and now calling Waikiki her home. With over a decade of experience in the service industry, Makena has honed her ability to connect with people and understand their unique needs. Makena’s journey has taken her from the vibrant streets of New York City to the cultural hubs of San Francisco and Austin. Her diverse experiences working in varied environments has shaped her into an adaptable and resilient bartender. When she is not slinging cocktails Makena practices Real Estate as a licensed Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii.  In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, traveling, and dancing—activities that reflect her commitment to a balanced and fulfilling life.

I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 20+ years specializing in guest services, with over 15 years of bar experience in 2 of the most demanding markets with the even higher guest expectations - Orlando and Las Vegas. Basically, this girl knows how to host a party. My approach is simple, if you genuinely care about people then you’ll want to go above and beyond to really wow them. Based out of the happiest place on earth, I know that what people truly take from their time with you is how you made them feel. My goal is to have all my clients and their guests walking away saying, “That was really awesome.” And look forward to elevating your event.

Aloha everyone, I’ve been in the service industry for just over 23 years.  I really enjoy the freedom that it brings and the ability to constantly meet new people from all over the world.  Most of my career was spent in Florida, where I lived for the last 20 years, working at high volume beach bars in St Pete and Clearwater.  I moved on island in July of 2023 and have been bartending on the North Shore.  This place feels like home and I really look forward to being here for a long time and cultivating new friendships and business opportunities.
